Estonian Evaluation Society ESTES established
On 29 December 2010, three of the main providers of evaluation services in Estonia established ESTES, the Estonian Evaluation Society.
Its mission is to support evidence- and participation-based policy and strategy making. The main tools envisaged to be used to this end are the development of common standards, terminology (in Estonian) and methods for evaluations to be carried out in Estonia, raising the professional and ethical level of evaluations and evaluators as well as strengthening the knowledge and culture of evaluation in Estonia. In addition to the public policy level, ESTES would like to contribute to increasing the learning capacity of systems and organisations.
While being in the process of creating the necessary structures for the Society, ESTES is planning a Launching Event on 14 June 2011.
ESTES can be contacted through Mr. Klaas-Jan Reincke, chairman of the Board (klaasjan@cpd.ee).
